Articulation Games for L Blends

Take turns with your child saying the desired words during the games listed below. It is important to practice hearing and saying the words.

  1. Blue - Find and name everything that is blue. Make sure to say blue and the object’s name.
  2. Blow - Get out the bubbles and blow bubbles. Say “blow bubbles” before taking a turn.
  3. Flip - Instead of turning the page, “flip” the page while reading. Have your child say “flip” before you turn the page.
  4. Flower - Make paper flowers or go for a walk and find flowers.
  5. Glass - Get out a glass and fill it with water, objects, rice...whatever. Just say put “XXX in glass” when taking a turn.
  6. Glue - Glue things together and have your child say “glue” before getting a turn using glue.
  7. Clean - Use the water hose to “clean” off the sidewalk or practice saying “clean” while washing hands (not fun but happens every day!)
  8. Climb - Challenge each other to climb over something safe.
  9. Plane- Make paper airplanes. Fun and easy!
  10. Play - Have your child say “play” while playing a board game, sports game, or whatever. Just say “play” before taking a turn.
