2 &1/2 yr old - very high voice ♡

Two-and-a-half-year-old either has a very small voice box or very constricted vocal cords how do we know which it is? And if it is constricted vocal cords, what can we do about that? Her voice is very high and difficult to understand. She is very normal and bright in every way.Thank you!♡

If you are having concerns about your daughter's vocal quality or intelligibility, I would reach out to your pediatrician for a referral for a speech evaluation by a speech-language pathologist. If you live in the United States, you may not be able to access services through early intervention but a private therapist who has a background in speech and/or voice is a great place to start! If there is a lesion or something functionally wrong with your child's vocal cords, there is therapy for that! You might need to be referred to an ENT and a speech therapist who works with children with voice disorders. It is hard to say what exactly your child needs without listening to her. So, I suggest an eval. It can't hurt! Good luck!
