Hi there! Has anyone ever worked in a travel slp job? What are the pros and cons? Are there any really amazing companies? Or companies to avoid? I would love to work with peds especially in the more medical side. Also do you know of any company that takes CFY?

Hello Jo,

Looks like this was an old post but if you did end up doing travel work and have had success, please contact me if you are ever open to new opportunity. Please specify what states you are open to working in. Thank you!

I haven't had any personal experience with travel companies. A previous co-worker has worked with PediaStaff before and had a great experience.

If you are a CFY, I would recommend completing your CFY year before taking a travel job. I learned so much that year and had wonderful co-workers and mentors that taught me so much. At first, the learning curve is very steep.

Once you have some experience under your belt, I think traveling might be fun and lucrative!
