Home Program Materials

Creating a home program that parents stick to is tricky. I previously thought...Why won’t these parents do what I ask? Don’t they care? Why do I bother?

Then, it occurred to me....maybe it isn’t them, maybe it's me?!  I was giving disjointed, random home practices. What parent has time for endless worksheets?

Here you will find parent handouts for home activities that incorporate daily, meaningful tasks.

Blank Forms: Time of Day Practices

Below are blank forms that you can personalize depending on your client's goals. Once I started using these, I saw a huge increase in parent completion of home programs.

Vocabulary Goals

We all know learning vocabulary is important for speaking, understanding, reading, and writing. We also know that memorizing a list of vocabulary words won't help our students either.

Instead, learning all the different parts of a definition and then practicing those skills in the natural setting of our student's home will improve their progress immensely!

Below are online, pdf forms for more specific goals. You can still personalize them for your client.

Again, they revolve around meaningful, daily tasks. I will be adding more as I make them. (I LOVE these, so easy!!)
