Speech Therapy Articles:
Review and Reflection

Welcome to my reviews and thoughts on the latest speech therapy articles published in journals. Most articles can be found in the American Speech Learning and Hearing Association publications.

Keeping up-to-date on the latest research is essential for any medical professional and is especially true for speech language pathologists since our field is changing so rapidly. With the wonderful addition of evidence based practice, one must be aware of all the great research our fellow SLP's are doing. It is important to remain dynamic and change as we learn more about the brain and speech, language, swallowing, voice, etc... You don't want to get stuck in your ways!!

I am not about to actually review the articles I read. They have been already been peer-reviewed by very smart people who have deemed the information valuable. Instead, I want to write down all that I learn and reflect on how I can use the information to help my practice as a speech therapist. I ultimately hope to get others thinking about how we practice and how we can improve!

I'm constantly read the research anyway! Why not share my thoughts?
